Now I’m in my 40’s I’m having to deal with signs of aging, so wanted some professional help with how to apply makeup to cover up some of my flaws while emphasising all my good points.

Lillybeth helped me achieve this by teaching me about makeup that most compliments my colouring and skin tone and also techniques on how to apply the makeup.  I also learnt about makeup and skin care products that may have harmful ingredients.

“I was very cynical towards makeup artists”

This year I had high expectations for my senior ball and so I wanted everything, including my makeup, to be perfect!  I had had my makeup done a number of times and had never been really impressed so I was very cynical towards makeup artists.

The Mary Kay lippy is so great, great colours and stays on too.  It's taken me decades to find a product like this!

I’ve spent hundreds of dollars trying to find a good lipstick but they are ALWAYS the wrong colour or don’t last.  Chemists sell you crap.  They sell you whatever they want you to buy or what is the best-seller for that month or season. Why would they think that these popular colours would even suit me?  But both of the lipstick colours I bought [from you] are awesome and the lip liner really works.

Lillybeth did everything she could to accommodate my needs.  She conducted two “practices” - I wasn’t quite completely taken with the first one, and she was happy to re-do it.  She listened to what I wanted and got it spot on!  The same with my bridesmaids. 

She got up really really early to accommodate our timing and came to the hairdressers with us.  She was brilliant and helpful, professional and she did a fabulous job. 

I felt absolutely beautiful and our wedding photos turned out stunning.  Our wedding lasted all day and the makeup looked fantastic from start to finish.  Only the lipstick needed touching up - which she provided for us in a wee tester card.  Very thoughtful and helpful.  Thank you Lillybeth!

I had never met or even seen Lillybeth before as I live in Cambridge.  She took one look at me and immediately knew which foundation would suit me, as well as colours and textures of all the other products (eyeshadow, blusher, bronzer, concealer, lipstick etc).  That had never, ever happened before.  I was so impressed.

Thank you so much for a lovely Stage-Magic makeover experience on Saturday morning, we had so much fun. 

It was great that you had Brooke there to do our hair she was awesome too!  Tag teaming it worked perfectly, especially when we were pushing it for a tight deadline.

The makeup worked a treat. My supporters said when I walked out on stage I looked like a doll, my mother thought I looked like a model and everyone loved the makeup – they said I stood out from the rest.

The makeup lasted very well! Even when we had to go back on stage in the evening.  It was fantastic.  Having the complete package: hair, makeup, accessories and a nice tan, surely gave me the confidence I so needed to get on that stage.  I felt so pretty and glamorous - it was great!!!

I had a sinking feeling this was some type of marketing ploy to get me to buy her makeup, so it would be fair to say I was a little apprehensive, yet excited for my makeup drawer to receive some attention for a change. 

Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth, I set up the consultation for Lillybeth to arrive conveniently at my home.  I gingerly revealed my makeup drawer feeling a little embarrassed and nervous about the state of my makeup (or ‘makedown’ in my case) and lack of it!  Lillybeth completely put me at ease.  She was friendly and professional, and from the very first item plucked from the drawer began a journey of understanding all about makeup. 

I learnt about products I had that were working well and why, as well as some makeup items that were not.  Whether it was because I didn't need it, or the colours were not flattering, I was not only receiving makeup advice, I was also being set to save $$$ avoiding future mistakes. 

I also discovered what items would be quick and easy to apply to get a better look for the day ahead.  This included a discussion about why a blusher was missing from my makeup drawer.  I took Lillybeth’s advice on the best blush colour to use and purchased a Mary Kay blusher - who knew a blusher would make such a difference to my complexion?!  I'm a complete blusher convert!

Armed with knowledge about what colours suit me best, what products are winners and what are losers, my makeup drawer is now working the best it can be for me.  I have plans to add to my makeup.  With the knowledge I gained as well as the notes Lillybeth provided during the audit, I have a personal guide as to what products to go for that suit me.  Thanks Lillybeth, it truly was a beautiful education!
